Landscape & Hardscape Guarantees
Trees, Shrubs & Plants:
Definitive Landscapes & Concrete, LLC guarantees all exterior nursery shrubs and trees sold and installed by us to be sound and healthy at the time of installation and capable of living for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. We will make replacement of any such shrubs or trees one (1) time with a plant of the same size and variety without cost to the consumer, providing expiration occurs within the said one (1) year period. Replacement will occur when proper planting is recommended and replacement foliage is available. The client shall provide the plants with all reasonable and proper care (see Client Responsibility). Labor is guaranteed for a one (1) year period.
Exclusions:
1. Annuals, perennials, plants in tubs or planter boxes, exotics or foliage not recommeded for the climiate zone.
2. Foliage stock supplied by but not planted by Definitive Landscapes.
3. Folliage stock not supplied by Definitive Landscapes at the time of said planting.
4. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which have not been given reasonable and proper care by the consumer, or any product which has had 
improper use by the consumer.
improper use by the consumer.5. Losses due to drought, fire, flood, high winds, ice, other severe weather conditions (e.g.: extreme winter weather), vandalism, theft, animals, lack of or excess moisture, or other factors beyond the control of Definitive Landscapes.
6. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which have had improper applications of pesticides or fertilizer.
7. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which have been transplanted on the client's property.
8. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which develop disease.
9. Replacements are not guaranteed.

Client Responsibility:
The client is responsible for providing the following maintenance:
1. Watering all plants, seed, and sod as per the Watering Guidelines for your new lawn and landscape
2. Be sure your irrigation system is operating properly and notify Definitive Landscapes or your irrigation company immediately if you notice any problems with it.
3. Pest Control. If not maintained by Definitive Landscapes, keep plants free of injurious animals, insects and diseases by timely and proper applications of pesticides.
4. Keep plantings free of weeds.
5. Notify Definitive Landscapes immediately if you notice any problems with your plants, shrubs, trees, sod or sprinkler system.
Hardscapes:
All materials are guaranteed under the manufacturer's warranty, and workmanship is guaranteed one (1) year from installation.
Exclusions:
Discoloration of concrete based materials.
Irrigation Installation:
All materials are guaranteed for one (1) year from installation, and workmanship is guaranteed for one (1) year from installation, contingent upon proper system winterization, start up, and maintenance.
Water Features:
All materials are guaranteed under the manufacturer's warranty, and workmanship is guaranteed for one (1) year from installation, contingent upon proper system winterization, start up and maintenance.
Landscape Lighting:
All materials are guaranteed under the manufacturer's warranty, and workmanship is guaranteed for one (1) year from installation.
Concrete Curbing:
Your curbing has a one-year, one time replacement warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please refer to curbing care & warranty for further information.
Exclusions:
1: Concrete curbing, like any other type of concrete, can and will crack. Although we attempt to control the cracking with additives and inserting expansion joints every couple of feet, occasionally a hairline crack will occur on the curb surface away from the control joint. A small number of hairline cracks are within tolerance and do not warrant replacement.
2. Cracking for tree rings due to tree roots.
3. Color variations in concrete, especially due to replacement.
Concrete & Overlays:
Workmanship is guaranteed for one (1) year from date of installation. Cracking in excess of 1/8” resulting from poor workmanship or use of substandard materials, shall be repaired or replaced.
Excludions:
1. Hairline cracks. Definitive Landscapes & Concrete, LLC makes no claim that hairline cracks might not develop, but ensures that every precaution is taken to minimize their occurrence by using approved methods and quality materials. A crack is a surface blemish only, it does not compromise the originally intended function, shape, or grade of the slab. Cracks are a natural consequence of exposure to the elements, and the curing process. There is no sure way to prevent or predict when and where a concrete slab may crack, and there is no minimum grace period or time limitation. A crack may appear within a day of a slab hardening, or after decades of undisturbed, unblemised surface.
2. Slight surface imperfections, frost or freeze damage, salt damage and color variance

Subcontractors:
All materials and labor are guaranteed by the subcontractor under the specific subcontractor's warranty for the service provided..
Blanket Exclusion:
All matierial warranties and labor guarantees are void if an accounts is not paid in full according to the terms of the contract.
